01What MedScan AI is

MedScan AI is a market-intelligence and decision-support tool for AI-powered medical devices. It helps healthcare professionals discover, compare, and evaluate devices and their regulatory status. It is not a marketplace: we sell no devices, carry no purchase links, take no affiliate commissions, and display no manufacturer pricing. Neutrality is the point of the product.

02Not clinical, diagnostic, or purchasing advice

Nothing on MedScan AI is medical advice, a diagnosis, or a purchasing recommendation. The catalogue, comparisons, Clinical Pulse scores, and generated reports are reference material to inform your own professional judgement and your institution's procurement diligence — not a substitute for either. We do not tell you what to diagnose, treat, or buy, and you remain solely responsible for any decision you make. Regulatory and clearance information is provided for orientation and may lag the primary registers; always confirm against the relevant regulator before acting.

03Accounts and acceptable use

You must give accurate account information and keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. You agree not to misuse the service — including scraping or bulk-extracting the catalogue outside our public API, attempting to breach security or access controls, reselling or white-labelling access without a written agreement, or submitting patient health data or other content you are not entitled to share. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.

04Subscriptions and billing

MedScan AI offers a free tier plus paid Pro and Team/Enterprise tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe, on the cycle you choose (monthly or annual). Subscriptions renew automatically for a further period of the same length at the then-current fee, and the renewal is charged to your payment method on file, until you cancel. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal linked from your account settings; cancellation stops the next renewal and takes effect at the end of the current billing period, with access continuing until then. Fees are stated at checkout.

14-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with a paid plan, email us at support@medtekki.nowithin 14 days of your first payment for that plan and we will refund it in full. This guarantee applies to a plan’s initial purchase; renewal charges are not separately covered, so cancel before a renewal if you no longer want the plan. Any statutory right of withdrawal that applies to you is preserved in addition to this guarantee.

05Reviewer contributions

If you contribute a clinician review, you confirm you are the verified professional identified in your application and that your review is your own honest, independent assessment. Reviews are verified against a public regulator register before publication and pass through a cooling-off and screening window described in our methodology. Published reviews are immutable — editorial changes are limited to status and duty-editor actions. Verified, active reviewers may receive complimentary Pro access; that perk is for being verified and contributing, never tied to the content, sentiment, or score of any particular review. By submitting, you grant MEDTEK KI AS a licence to publish and display your review as part of the catalogue.

06Intellectual property

The MedScan AI catalogue, editorial content, brand, and software are owned by MEDTEK KI AS or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property law. We publish our rating methodology openly and license certain schemas for reuse where stated; everything else is reserved. Regulatory source data belongs to the issuing authorities and is surfaced here for reference.

07Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that catalogue or regulatory information is complete, current, or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MEDTEK KI AS is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from decisions made in reliance on the service; and our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law.

08Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. The courts of Stavanger, Norway are the venue for any dispute, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rules that give you the right to bring proceedings in your own country of residence.

09Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. When we make a material change we will update the version and effective date above and, where appropriate, notify account holders.
